How to get the X Factor Look – Cheryl Cole’s winning hair style
I worked with two hairdressers yesterday on a photo-shoot for Essex Life Magazine who were saying that since the X Factor has been running they have had a surge in customers requesting the X Factor Look. Kevin Routledge, hair stylist at Harlow says that typical requests are “Can I have the Danni haircut” or “Can I have Cheryl Cole’s hair style”. Kevin was saying that when Cheryl Cole turned her hair Cherry Red he had a rapid rise in the amount of requests for “Cherry Red” hair dyes. I am sure hair salons were running out of “Cherry Red” Dye all over the UK!
There is no doubt that both Cheryl and Danni have had a great impact on girls all across the country on how they should look.
On the photo-shoot my hair was transformed into hair that was worthy of Cheryl Cole’s. Readers will probably see my hair in the magazine and think; ‘wow’ that girl is lucky to have such great hair. Well I don’t have great hair, my hair is limp and fine and much work went into transforming my hair for the photo-shoot. Cheryl Cole has a personal hair stylist that can make her hair look like this everyday. If you have the time and money then it is possible to have her hair too. You are likely to need to achieve the length and thickness to your hair.
How to achieve Cheryl’s hair style for the X Factor, 2009?
- Brush your hair so it is tangle free to work with.
- Blow-dry your hair to give added volume.
- Add your ; leave room on the top of your head to allow you to back-comb.
- Back-comb the hair on the top of your scalp. This will give your hair even more volume on the top.
- Use your hair straightners to give your hair a slight wave/ curl to give the appearance of more thickness and energy.
- Use a good hair spray to help hold the hair style.
The hairdressers worked on my hair for about 30 minutes for this particular hair style. Be realistic, if you have thin and fine hair the level of volume you will achieve will not be as great as someone with thicker hair.
Follow these tips and you can enjoy going out with a head of hair of X Factor status, and don’t forget your !
